Boys:

I just wanted to say that I had one of the most fun and ridiculous weekends of my life. I have found a great group of new friends and have been having so much fun with them for the past couple of weeks.

We drank too much killer kool-aid, played lots of Rock Band, grilled some deer burgers, watched football, drank too many Jager bombs, and cracked jokes until we could barely breathe. It was wonderful.

I have always been a guys-girl and tend to gravitate towards tight-knit groups of guys... which is exactly what these guys are, and I love it. I don't think I stopped laughing all weekend... :)

Only In The South (Part Deux):

After the shock today that yet another ex-boyfriend of mine has chosen to wed their current girlfriends, I thought I should revisit this topic again... For a recap, here is what I found only two and a half months ago.

With the same conditions in mind, I found that 36 out of my 389 friends (yes, I started deleting people recently... as I tend to do every now and again) are now engaged or married. This makes for 9.5%! Wow.

I'll check back in on this in a few months... Maybe we'll have our first divorce to document by then!

A Brush With Fame:

Okay, so I have lots of things to update and share, but I'm attempting to get a lot of things done this weekend so all I have for now is a quick story:

I viewed with my very own peepers the infamous Rack 'em Willie downtown for the very first time last night. He was spinning his shirt over his head (yes, like a helicopter) and I stood there like a wide-eyed, star-struck little girl. It was awesome.

Just in case you're not familiar with this amazing man, here is a compilation of his finest work. I've never been so proud to call Athens "home".

Only In The South:

This is getting out of control.

For some reason I feel the need to document the steadily growing number of engaged/married friends of mine. Maybe it's because my job is to conduct sociological research, maybe it's because I'm completely baffled by this phenomena, or maybe I'm just ridiculous.

35 out of my 456 facebook friends currently have said marital status (with "I'm married to my best friend, tee hee!" omitted), which makes for 7.7%.

I'll try to update this every couple of months as a social experiment, and we'll see how quickly that percentage rises.

Moving On:

Athens is a little more glum today... Abe left last night and all of the boys moved out of River Mill. It's sad. Chris was all about changing the topic after we said our final good-byes... I think he was trying to keep from getting upset.

Seeing other people leaving makes me sad, don't get me wrong, but it also makes me jealous. When can I leave?! When is it my turn to move on with me life?!

At the very least, 9 months from now. At the most, 12 months. But without friends to help me pass the time, my fear is that those months will pass very. slowly.
