Too Little Too Late:

Usually I feel relieved to have a Christmas present out of the way... but seeing these over in High Street Market's shop just made me totally kick myself for what I already bought Chris for the holidays...









He is such a war plane buff, these would be awesome for his office one day! (Seriously, he has this big book of planes that my aunt got him for Christmas last year, and I can open it up to any page and 90% of the time he knows what it is and what country it is from. Often times he can also name specific battles that it was used in... It is truly ridiculous.)

If the present that I have sitting in my closet wasn't so expensive, I would just get one or two of these as well. Damn. Maybe I'll get them for his birthday (which is in February)...

Cheap Shopping:

Even though I have lots of hope for the future of this country, the economy still ain't that great at this point. I put together these two cute outfits from somewhere totally unexpected... Forever 21! I saw some cute things of theirs on another blog and after some exploring, found a couple of surprisingly cute items! I thought it was just for teens and tweens... maybe I was wrong or maybe my sense of style is just completely sub-par lately.

I'm sure the quality isn't so grand, but it's probably a good idea to buy things on the cheap if they're super trendy seeing as they will probably be kicked out of your wardrobe rotation by the time they start to fall apart, right? I'm a firm believer that classic items are totally worth a splurge though... like a pair of really great jeans or a peacoat. :)

Etsy Shop of the Week:

Maybe something from Momomadeit's Etsy shop would inspire me to do more around the kitchen... Or more likely it would end up hanging beautifully on a hook in my kitchen while I continue to allow Chris to cook nearly every meal... Either way, these aprons are so 50's chic!

I am a Winner:

Great news! I won that old library card catalog auction on eBay just now! Wahoo!

So, without further adieu, here is my new card catalog cabinet!



I'll be traveling to South Carolina in the coming days to go and pick it up... with a big, buff bodyguard, of course. Then it'll be time to repaint it... Which is another issue in and of itself! I'm thinking about painting it the same blue that I did a small table that lives on my porch... but I'm also thinking that white would be nice... I guess we'll wait and see!

Ahhh, I'm so excited! :)

Wow. Etsy's Pounce feature strikes again with another glorious find! Shop Enfin, La Voila makes beautiful notecards... and here are a few of my favorites from this Belgian seller:











Absolutely amazing. There are also some gorgeous custom wedding invitations too! I love all of it.

Soon to Adorn My Coffee Table:

Okay, I went a little out of control with some online shopping this past week... but lookie what will be in my mailbox in a few days:


Oh yes. I am super excited.

(This will be the first of the nice, over-sized, hardcover books that will be my coffee table art... I feel like I should find some less predictable things to adorn this space as well, solely because of The Format line: "Four books look across your sofa, I thought your coffee table was more clever than that.")

Wow, I can't get over the cuteness! I totally love every single one of the cards in this shop. Maybe letterpress should be my next crafting endeavor... hmmm...

While looking for this fall's greatest accessory, the feather headband, I came across A Farmer's Daughter's shop. Oh my goodness this stuff is great! Here are a few of my favorites:







She also makes some pretty cute jewelry, but I'm just drawn to these feathered headbands! I love the ones with buttons... How cute are they?!

ShopStyle strikes again with their convenient "price alert" feature! (I'm still a little bitter about it, but it's okay.)

They have been tempting me with sales on some of my favorite items for some time now, but today I got the one I was truly waiting for... the dress from White House|Black Market!

Oh my goodness it's so cute!

Price drop from $168 to $99? Oh yes. And they still have my size? Even better.

Seriously, avoid this website... it puts adorable things at a lower price into your e-mailbox that cause you to whip out your credit card before you even know what's going on. Pure evil if you ask me.

My New Coin Purse:

I wrote a while back about wanting a coin purse. Well, look what was in my mailbox last night:



This bag from Etsy seller oktak is oh so cute and great for holding a few random items that have been rolling around the bottom of my purse. I was a little smaller than I expected, but I'm excited nonetheless! Yay Etsy!

Now I'm really tempted to order a couple more of these cuties for Christmas gifts for friends... She has so many great designs! And apparently she'll be coming out with more for fall very soon! I'll definitely be checking back to see what she comes up with.
